Hey there. I've been into game making since about 2008, but it wasn't until 2014 I was able to complete my first ever game! The game was started and finished in a single week for a contest. In one week I was able to do what I struggled with for 6 years. 6 WHOLE YEARS. HILARIOUS ISN'T IT.

Also I must say that it's my belief that the RM community as a whole is growing fairly well. It has just shifted away from GW and into places that focus more on RMXP and RMVX. I am totally against any place that caters SOLELY to these engines, however.
Don't forget some of GW spillage leaked all over us. Activity yay!
I don't know about this idea, it seems like a whole load of work. We have Misaos, Release Day, a Podcast and Play Something Day now. This sites already doing enough to raise alertness of indie games, let these catch on a bit first before you try something like this, y'know?

YES! Persona Trinity Soul popped right into my head as well. Very similar story minus the actual Personas xD.
I would never recommend creating three projects at once, so I'm relieved to find out it's just a blueprint. Any plans for which the maker yet? I wouldn't suggest VX (I know you have it) I don't think you can capture the Japanese city/ school feel (maybe that's just me)
I'm guessing this is going to be more of a mystery exploration game than a traditional RPG?

I got Brawl yesterday, I've messed around online and i've only had very slight lag once at the start of a match, so it should be fine (my Wii is quite far upstairs from my Wireless box, I can move closer if needs be.) I won't be able to play this weekend and I live in the UK so theres going to be a time difference. We can work it out over PMs or something.
If not, thats my friend code if anyone wants it.

I've noticed that games you have cleared out still appear on the random screenshot feature on the homepage. Nothing important, just letting you know.
Tutorial: Make A Good Game.
I don't see anything wrong with a generic story (everything beens done once already) Some people can't come up with a good plot yet have areas that they handle well. That doesn't make them a bad designer, as long as the characters are handled well and you can tell them apart. I don't see how item names should come into it either, but I do like to see people put more effort than Wooden Sword, Iron Sword, Bronze Sword, Silver Sword, Gold Sword, Mythril Sword etc.
I basically back up everything Ashramaru said, but theres no reason why your first game can't be good even without experience as well (by good, just stick to your standards).

Dude this is simple don't panic, just pick a file sharing site and upload it. Write the link down and keep it safe somewhere and download it again when ever you can. I'm not 100% on this but some sites delete the file without your consent if it's inactive without any downloads for a long period of time.
